If you love animals, especially companion animals such as cats and dogs, check out the Companion Animal Resource and Adoption Center (CARAC), a new member of Bucketworks. We are an organization that takes Milwaukee's stray animals and tries to find them new homes via an adoption center for cats in Southridge Mall and foster homes for dogs. Our Mission is to facilitate an adoption center to place available animals from the Milwaukee Area Domestic Animal Control Commission into loving, permanent homes as well as provide behavior consultations, humane education programs, spay/neuter assistance, and when appropriate, re-homing services for eligible companion animals in the greater Milwaukee area.

We are currently looking for designs for t-shirts for volunteers and to sell for fundraising. If you have a great idea for a t-shirt design, we would love to see it.

Also, we are planning an event at Bucketworks sometime this year for people to come build cat scratching posts in the creative environment of Bucketworks to then take home or give back to CARAC to sell to adopters and visitors to the adoption center. We will also have a contest for the most creative scratching post so come show your skills.
